Major components
The major components are:
Data
SECeek organizes and presents data found in SEC forms. The primary datum is a document or filing of a specific form. There are numerous SEC forms. Generic information found in forms is organized in SECeek. These include company, address, phone number, and SIC. Some items declared in the forms are further organized by SECeek. For example, 8-K items from Form 8-K and from Form 4: transactions (i.e., shares acquired or sold).
Filtering
SECeek is designed to make searching SEC forms convenient. There are many filtering options. The results are displayed in a list and details about specific items are available in one click.
Document information
The document list page displays a list of documents. Each row shows: * date form was filed, * primary company name, * form type, and * a link to view the form on the SEC web site.
A form can be associated with many companies. The list displays the name of the “primary” companymost likely the filer or issuer of the form.
The document detail page displays the above information and all the companies specifically identified in the form. Companies are identified as filer, issuer, reporting owner, or subject company. There are links to each company detail page.
